Is Rock Climbing Safe or Dangerous?

A long way to fall/die. Every year we see a movie showcasing how dangerous yet heroic rock climbing is. If you pay close attention, all of these films really just tell you one thing: don’t go climbing mountains, there’s more than a slight possibility you might not get out of there alive.

Humans are big fans of dangerous journeys. If not we would not be able to ever talk about such things as important as The Nose. The Nose was first climbed in 1958 by Warren Harding, Wayne Merry and George Whitmore in 47 days. The nose is a famous route that reaches the top of El Capitan, a vertical rock formation located in the Yosemite Valley.
