Juice cleanses have been an ongoing trend for years. And to be honest, after this holiday season it’s highly likely you’ll try a new trendy diet. Cold press juices are all everyone’s talking about when it comes to post-holiday cleanses. Gwyneth Paltrow and Nicole Richie both pledged allegiance to the juicing diet in the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. Beyoncé turned to a juice cleanse in order to drop 20 pounds for her role in the movie Dreamgirls. Even award-winning actor Jared Leto has raved about this type of diet.

Although all these famous celebrities have endorsed and raved about juice cleanses, are these diets really sustainable? Are these kinds of diets worth it? Deep down, when seeking a healthy lifestyle and a lighter weight, are juice cleanses safe? Or are they dangerous?
